How Does The Council Work?

Council members are responsible for the overall guidance and oversight of the ROWSC and are the final authority for all accreditations. Once the audit team completes a final report with their recommendation for the accreditation decision, the Council reviews the report and votes to approve or reject the recommendation. The Council also makes determinations regarding timelines for re-accreditation as well as handling instances of noncompliance.

The Council meets approximately quarterly to guide strategic direction for the accreditation program and is supported by the work of the auditing committee and the technical advisory committee, who develop accreditation standards and refine the auditing process. The Chairs of both supporting committees also serve as a non-voting member of the Council to provide insight to the voting members.
